Winners KVBA Blues Challenge 1999, Mid North Michigan Blues Challenge 2004, West Michigan Blues Society Blues Challenge 2007, Detroit Blues Society Blues Challenge 2009 The legendary Crossroads Blues Band, held down the Thursday night jam session host spot at the now-shuttered Wonderfuls Blues Club in Kalamazoo for over a decade. This band delivers funky, fun music including a lot of original material. Influences The band has many influences from many different styles, from Jimi Hendrix to John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Grover Washington, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Reed, The Boneshakers, Herbie Hancock and a host of others. Formed in 1993 as a throw together jam band to host the Thursday night Jam at Wonderfuls Funky Basement (although it wasn't called that then) the band has gone through many personel changes and much musical growth to get to where we are now. The constants have been Dave and Eddie playing together now for over a decade and a half. We arrived at our current line up about three years ago and have developed a maturity in our music that only comes with longevity.
